Check out all the bios on our very cool leaders!

Sarah Beyer

Sarah is older than she looks and has a ton of fun living in Libertyville with her two wonderful roommates. She works at Trinity International University and attends the grad school there, thus many things in her life are Trinity-centered- including her spiritual life. WhenSarah Beyer she is not working some of her favorite things to do are: go on road trips, play card games, go to coffee shops, play disc golf, read, pull pranks on others (hee hee hee) and watch movies.

Things you should know about Sarah:

  • She likes football and is, in particular a fan of the Denver Broncos.
  • She reads, watches and talks about Lord of the Rings at a minimum of once a week.
  • She likes coffee.
  • She likes classic rock and makes it a mission that those whom she loves are exposed to the stylings of Jimi Hendrix on a regular basis.
  • She is an action movie junkie.

Amy Caldwell

Amy is married to her favorite man in the whole world: Mike. She has finished studying God at Trinity, but would love to go back for more some day. In the mean time, she works at Trinity Community Church, helping Nathan and Jan. In her free time she loves to talk with friends, hang outside, travel, watch movies, listen to music, and minister to the girls at Third Place.

Mike Caldwell

Mike CaldwellMike is married to the most wonderful (sorry Nate, can't be you) person named Amy. She was his Bible Study leader in college and they spent a lot of time studying Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy together (seriously). Amy still remembers the material; Mike only remembers that he still really loves Amy almost 10 years later.
Mike currently works for a big company creating layers of bureaucracy; i.e., making sure everybody has 8 bosses. He also takes some classes at Trinity (they don't offer Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy so he's studying God). In his free time he likes to eat good food, watch movies, eat bad food, play sports, eat dark chocolate, and have fun with military stuff (museums, books, toys, video games, etc.).

  • Favorite Hangout: My basement.
  • Favorite Movie: thinks it is Top Gun (actual favorite is Saving Private Ryan or Good Will Hunting).
  • Favorite Band: thinks it is Poor Old Lu (actually listens to Shane & Shane much more)
  • Favorite Ice Cream: Chocolate-Peanut Butter
  • Before I die: Go to Australia and/or New Zealand.
  • Most Embarrassing Moment: Getting trapped inside a desk in college (yes, it's possible).

Nathan Wagner

The fact of the matter is that Nathan “married up” when he married his high school love, Anna.  Nathan and Anna have been married for six years now and have two kids to show for it: a daughter, Kate, now 3, and a son, Matthew, almost 1. In his free time he likes to play hockey, spend time with his family, read picture books, and throw frisbee golf discs into the river (not on purpose).Nathan Wagner

  • Favorite Hangout: Caribou…but I don’t like coffee, go figure
  • Favorite Movie: Mr. Bean. Probably because our IQ’s are so similar.
  • Favorite Band: Delirious?
  • Before I die: Utter some famous last words – still working on that one
  • Most Embarrassing Moment: You think I would actually put this on the web???

Susie Gray

Susie is a stay-at-home mom; doing her best to manage chaos for five kids, two cats, one turtle and one husband.  "Life is good when my brain is functioning and I can answer questions after thinking for less than 30 seconds."  ...sad but true...

Susie GrayOther possibly interesting facts are what Susie would like to do for fun once in awhile ~

  • watch romantic comedies
  • eat dessert before dinner
  • take long, hot bubble baths
  • talk on the phone uninterrupted
  • ignore all e-mails requesting autobios

ANN Schwaar

Hi!  I’m Ann Schwaar.  I’m married (since 1985!  You do the math!) to the adorable Tim Schwaar—the power-drummer, worship leader, elder (old and wise), and all around Ann Schwaarwonderful guy.  We have lived in several parks (Oak Park, Rogers Park, and North Park) before settling in Mundelein near the Parks, who live down the street.  We have five very amazing children:  Lauren (17), Kimberly (15), Theresa (13), Ryan (11), and Christopher (soon to be 8).  We have home-schooled for many years.  I love reading to and learning with my children, seeing God move in fun ways, hanging out with people, singing, writing songs, worshiping with little ones and big ones, anything on the water, working outside, God’s amazing creation, being a part of CYT or other musical-theater-y things, and helping people with our home-based business.

Dustin Boundy

The fact is Dustin married the most beautiful woman on earth when he married Heather, whom he met at Trinity Community Church.  Dustin and Heather have 1 Dog and 2 Cats and are looking to have kids in about a year.  In his free time he loves to play golf and hockey.

  • Favorite Hangout: If I can play sports there, or my wife is there, it’s my favorite hangout.
  • Favorite Movie: hmmm.... If it makes me laugh, I like it and will watch it over
    and over.
  • Favorite Band: Anyone Christian, it’s all I listen to.
  • Before I die: Play on the PGA tour
  • Most Embarrassing Moment: Being called “Duster” during my wedding ceremony, my face turned red and that NEVER happens!

Andrew & Nicole Smith

Nicole has been married to Andrew for almost three years.  When she first met him in high school, she thought she was too cool for him, but as it turned out, she wasn't as cool as she thought, and he was a lot cooler than she'd ever imagined, Andrew and Nicole Smithso it worked out pretty well in the end.  Nicole currently teaches high school English in Johnsburg.  If you have ever wondered whether or not your teachers sometimes laugh out loud while they read your papers, wonder no more: they do.  But it's all because they love you.

In her free time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, especially if they are killing bunnies; hanging out with friends, notably her sister; exercising until she looks sweaty, stinky, and just a little scary; reading multiple books at once (and occasionally finishing them); watching strange films, and--yes, hold onto your hats, this is exciting--listening to National Public Radio.  Nicole is glad she is not the same woman she was when God found her 11 years ago, but she sure hopes to be a little more like Jesus 10 years from now than she is today.

  • Favorite Hangout: Being anywhere outside on a fall day
  • Favorite Movie: Napoleon Dynamite
  • Favorite Band: Waterdeep
  • Favorite Ice Cream: Mint FUDGE: NOT mint chocolate chip, with those pathetic little atom-sized excuses for chocolate.
  • Before I die: See Europe; learn to stop worrying
  • Most Embarrassing Moment: I am a connoisseur of embarrassing moments.  I collect them like others collect fine wines.  Talk to me sometime about them, and I'll give you the grand tour of the world's most shockingly humiliating events.

Andrew once hit a bear with his car, but he actually erased the memory of this ever occurring.

Other than destroying wildlife, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, making music, outdoor activities (sailing, backpacking, rock climbing), being with friends, frisbee golf, and strategic board games.

  • Favorite Hangout: Just hanging out
  • Favorite Movie: Disney's The Kid
  • Favorite Band: Favorite SONG is "Life is a Highway" by Tom Cochrane, a one-hit wonder.  By definition, then, this disqualifies him from being my favorite band.
  • Favorite Ice Cream:  Reeses' Peanut Butter
  • Before I die: Roast an entire pig (it will be dead first)
  • Most Embarrassing Moment: None, since I block out the memory of all embarrassing moments.
